How to embed your stories on your Shopify pages.

Purpose:

The purpose of this article is to provide direction on embedding shoppable videos across your Shopify store inline within product descriptions or individual sections.

Intended Audience:

Marketing/Content Manager

Create a new story campaign by the clicking "New Lyve -> Stories"
Once the story is created, hit "Publish story"
Select the "Custom HTML" option on the Publish Story view

Copy the code
Open up the desired page or Product description that you'd like to embed your story on.

The two ways of embedding your shoppable video

Paste the code snippet directly into your HTML product description in your product listing

Paste the code snippet into a "Custom Liquid" section in your Shopify page builder/Shogun

||| If you're missing a "Custom Liquid/Custom HTML" section in your Shopify page builder, you would have to create a code template within your theme files.

Hit "Save" and you're all set!

Purpose:

The purpose of this article is to connect streaming software to the LyveCom dashboard (approx. 2 mins)

Audience:

Producer/OnBoarding Specialist

Download the Larix Broadcaster app from the iOS App Store. | We also support most commonly used streaming software like OBS, etc.
Open up the Larix App and hit the gear icon to access your settings.
Hit the video settings tab and do the following:

Set your Orientation to "Portrait"
Set your Resolution to "1920 x 1080"
Toggle "Bitrate matches resolution" to on

Before you start streaming, make sure to add your dashboard RTMP link from your settings into Larix.

Access your dashboard settings and copy the rtmps://… link. Send it to the device where Larix is installed (or any other streaming software)
Open up your Larix app, hit the gear icon to access your settings, and hit "Connections"
Hit the "+" button on the top right corner of connections.

Type in your stream name in the "Connection name"
Copy and paste your rtmps

Head over to your campaign view on your dashboard and hit the “+” button to copy your widget code snippet.

| Note: you only have to do this once, and your code snippet is the same for each campaign.

Head over to your Shopify admin, and jump over to your theme.liquid

|| You can also embed onto individual landing pages by dropping the snippet into any "custom.liquid" or HTML box.

Scroll down until you see the closing tag
Paste the copied code snippet right above the tag

| All set! Once you go live you will see the streaming pop-up site wide during the duration of your livestream.

| When you first install the app, you will notice that a new taste page called "Test your Setup" is created in your Shopify "pages" tab. The page itself is empty, but our streaming widget is currently embedded there and will show up once you go live. Note: make sure to apply your widget branding before proceeding the following steps._

Go ahead and open up your scheduled test stream in the LyveCom dashboard.

Go ahead and add a few products from your product catalog to the test event.

Select "Carousel", "Bubbles" or "Grid" from your campaign dropdown and name your Video group.

Select all the stories that you want to include in your group.
Hit "Publish Carousel" to generate your embed code

Follow the embed steps to embed your Video group on your site.
